It’s close to the airport, but there is no shuttle. It’s a 2 mins drive to airport but cost you $40. The breakfast is decent, no toaster for the bread. The coffee is good band you can have tea anytime.

The rooms were too good for a hostel . The hostel gave me a Bhutanese vibe . The view from the window was beautiful. The close proximity to the airport allowed us to sleep for few extra minutes in the morning 😃

This house was one of the best places we have stayed in while in Norway, and we've been travelling here for about nine weeks. The house has a clothes washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board. It has a good shower. They provided shampoo and washing gel. There is a second bathroom (sink and toilet). They provided plenty of toilet paper. The large master bed is comfortable. (Don't know about the other beds, but there are four bedrooms in total.) The location is quiet, with only the usual neighborhood noises during the day (children playing, etc.). It is possible to walk to the grocery store, but if you are buying a lot, you should drive. The kitchen is very well-equpped (though could use a few more cereal bowls) and even has some food supplies. We received a welcome basket with goodies that included chocolate.

The location is amazing the house is surrounded by the mountains, the lake is in front of the house.If the sky is clear you can experience the northern lights for the entire night just though the windows.The room is clean and comfortable.Especially the kitchen that is very well equipped! Ballangen camping was easy to find and the service was very fine and quick. The camping area is also easy to navigate. Customer service was friendly and very informative. They can answer most of your questions about anything you need to know. The camping area is located next to the Atlantic ocean that gives you the opportunity to swim and enjoy the sauna that Ballangen camping offers.
With that we get to the one huge negative from a Finns perspective. The sauna needs more attention. It was not mentioned or advertised anywhere as an option and also was lacking a bucket and a laddle. One of the staff members also mentioned that he had not checked the sauna in two years, which i think would be required from the staff since they have that option available for the customers. Also when it was warm it smelled like burning dust. Otherwise the sauna was good and warm. The sauna needs more attention. I would recommend for the staff to start promoting the sauna more and add the missing requirements.
But overall the experience was really good. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a good affordable place to stay when visiting Narvik or other places near Ballangen.
